Tech Hubs in Kenya Report 40% Growth in Student Participation

Leading Nairobi tech hubs iHub and Nailab have reported a 40% year-on-year increase in student participation across workshops, hackathons, and founder office hours this quarter.

Organisers attribute the growth to expanded university partnerships, evening and weekend programming designed around class schedules, and a surge in AI and climate-tech themed events.

Both hubs plan to extend free membership tiers for students through 2026 and launch new mentorship tracks connecting undergraduates with alumni founders.
